There is a great and a bit old movie ''Still Alice'' with brilliant Julian Moore staring. It is a story of one woman struggling and managing the sudden loss of everything she's done in her life (the words, the science, love for her family, colleagues)
That there is no treatment for Alzheimer's. Although there is no cure, there are medical and non medical treatments that slow the progress of the disease and reduce the effects of the symptoms.
Probably that Alzheimer's disease and dementia are the same thing.
Alzheimer's disease is just one of hundreds of diseases which causes dementia. Alzheimer's causes many symptoms, memory loss being just one of those.
